Hello! First off, this is my first paid subscriber only post. I want to THANK YOU for believing in my work, it means more to me than I could ever put into words. I also wanted to let you in on a little more of what’s going on on the other side of my keyboard :)
Yesterday, I danced into my 35th year surrounded by my sisters, nieces, and nephews. Closing the chapter on 34 and stepping into this new year is also coming about two weeks before we make a big move. In so many ways, it feels like I’m standing right in the middle of a chapter break!
Last July, I was hit with a traumatic experience with a client I was working with. I won’t go into details, I’ll just say that it was one of the hardest things I ever experienced as a therapist, or a human, and it signaled to me that I needed to make a shift in my work. I love so many things about being a therapist, but I also knew that my body needed more breathing room to heal, not only from what had happened last July, but also from the heavy load of the last several years.
